Jeff Huett
Director of Communications

Jeff Huett, a native of Montgomery, Ala., and a journalism and business administration graduate of Baylor University, is the director of communications at the Baptist Joint Committee. Huett was associate director of communications at the BJC from 2001 through 2004. In 2004, he earned a Master of Arts degree in Media and Public Affairs from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where he was named a Larry King Scholar. Previously, Huett completed internships with Associated Baptist Press in Jacksonville, Fla., and on the communications staff of the Dallas-based Buckner Baptist Benevolences. While at Baylor, Huett served as editor-in-chief of The Baylor Lariat, the university's 7,500-circulation newspaper, from August 1999 to May 2000. Currently, he serves as editor of the monthly flagship publication of the Baptist Joint Committee, Report from the Capital, which began in 1946.
