On March 23, the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral arguments in Zubik v. Burwell, the name given to the consolidated cases brought by religious nonprofit organizations challenging the contraceptive mandate of the Affordable Care Act.

In this podcast, BJC Executive Director Brent Walker and Associate General Counsel Jennifer Hawks talk about what the justices said during oral arguments, the atmosphere around the Court and the potential impact of a 4-4 decision.

General Counsel Holly Hollman discussed the friend-of-the-court brief the BJC filed on behalf of the government in a previous podcast. You can also view a transcript of oral arguments or listen to an audio recording of the session.
