This holiday season, there are many important ways you can be a part of the Baptist Joint Committee’s efforts to protect the separation of church and state, and religious liberty for all. If you have been following the news of the last year, you know that it’s never been more important for people of faith who believe in those principles to stand together and be heard.

I support them because the BJC is a much-needed voice of reason on Capitol Hill, on behalf of Baptists across the country. The BJC educates lawmakers, advocates, courts, and congregations on the essential view that religious liberty is best served when government is involved the least.

#GivingTuesday has become an important day of donation for nonprofits including the BJC. This year, your gift will be doubled, thanks to generous matching donations, up to the first $10,000! Tuesday’s gifts will help fund the BJC’s Fellows Program for 2018. The Fellows Program includes an intensive education program designed for those who wish to be advocates and activists for religious liberty.

And whenever you shop online at Amazon, including this #CyberMonday, but also throughout the year, support the BJC by participating in #AmazonSmile, so that Amazon will donate to the BJC for each purchase you make. Start your shopping here:  – save that link!

Lastly, show your support by telling others about these opportunities, and about the work of the BJC. Tweet links to the BJC’s #GivingTuesday page, and share the #AmazonSmile link ().

For your friends that may not be aware, let them know about the activities of the BJC this year on behalf of everyone’s religious liberty, including the Know Your Neighbor interfaith campaign, and the Community not Candidates initiative to save our churches from politics, to name just two of my favorites.

As a nonprofit organization, the BJC depends on the generosity of donors to continue the important work they do for all of us. Whether you can give $10, $100, or $1,000, every donation helps! And on #GivingTuesday, it will be doubled!
