One of the best things about the new administration, he seems to be saying, is that it's not the same as the last adminsitration!

Meanwhile Mikey Weinstein, writing at the Washington Post's On Faith page, finds little to no difference at all in the current handling of military religious freedom issues.

At USNews, Dan Gilgoff notes that in the first few months, Obama has "sought a bold new role for faith in the White House, which aides say is aimed largely at dialing down the decades-old culture wars."

The Seventh Day Adventist News Network proudly reports that the White House has named a religious liaison.

Religion Clause relays news that the Obama Administration will meet with the Navajo Nation to discuss the Arizona Snowbowl RFRA case, recently appealed to the Supreme Court, in hopes of reaching a settlement.

And in non-Obama-related news, the California Supreme Court ruled that private religious schools are not restricted by state civil rights laws and may discriminate against students.
