Responding to criticism from Rev. Welton Gaddy of Northminster Baptist Church in Monroe, La over the use of taxpayer funds to take numerous trips to churches around the state, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal mostly launched unrelated attacks at Gaddy's Interfaith Alliance. But he did manage to throw one actual excuse in there through his spokeswoman Melissa Sellers:
She also said Jindal accepts invitations from local churches to speak, and he tries to take the opportunity to meet with local elected officials when he has church engagements.
That's it? He's forced to go worship at churches across the state using a publicly funded helicopter because they asked him? Yeah, however could he have gotten out of that bind?
