As you surely know, the House of Representatives passed a health care reform bill in dramatic late-night fashion Saturday, 220-215.

Last week there was controversy over the Senate bill's requirement that policies on the national exchange cover certain "faith-healing" treatments endorsed by Christian Scientists, among others. So, what's in the House bill? Clocking in at 2,000 pages or so, I sheepishly admit that I have not yet read the entire thing (such a slacker!). And I would probably have to to know for sure. As hard as it is to find specific provisions that are in the bill, it's especially hard to find which ones are not. (You can see a searchable version of the bill at the NYTimes' site here; or download the entire pdf here.)

With that caveat aside, Manya Brachear, who has been following this issue in a blog for the Chicago Tribune, reported (via Ed Brayton) that the House bill lawmakers considered and passed, HR does not contain such a requirement.

Will the Senate's bill keep this mandate? If so, how will the conference report deal with this inconsistency? Stay tuned.
