Baptist Joint Committee Director Brent Walker was one of the religious liberty advocates to meet yesterday with Attorney General Eric Holder on the issue of anti-Islamic rhetoric and the role the administration can play in addressing it. To media gathered outside the Justice Department afterward, he offered his perspective:

We honor God and our country by loving our neighbors and seeking religious liberty for everyone… Not all of our difficulties can be solved by the Justice Department, but what is said and done from the highest reaches of government can inspire folks on the ground in New York City, Gainesville, Florida, and Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to render voice of reason and sanity in the public debate…. It appears we are in a new day, and it calls each of us to stand in solidarity with minorities to ensure full religious liberty for everyone.

See Brent discuss his views on the meeting with Holder, and the Qu'ran-burning controversy tomorrow (Thursday) morning between 7 and 7:30 AM on CBS' Early Show. [UPDATE: CBS had to move Brent's interview time. Stay tuned for more info!]
