On the heels of the President's Executive Order enacting some much-needed reforms – and delaying some others – in the area of government partnerships with faith-based organizations, the House Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties is holding a hearing today to discuss those issues. Panlists include former BJC counsel Melissa Rogers, Americans United's Barry Lynn and law professor Douglas Laycock.

The discussion is raising some important questions, like this one from Rep. John Conyers (D-MI):  Why did the White House not send an official to the hearing to explain the administration's stance on hiring discrimination? I will have full coverage of the hearing later, but you can follow along with the live webcast here, or better yet, keep up with highlights from the discussion through the BJC's live-tweets of the hearing.
