Join Dr. Sabrina Dent at The Katie Geneva Cannon Center for Womanist Leadership (KGCCWL) of the Union Presbyterian Seminary for the 2023 Spring Conference in the “Queen City” at the Sheraton Charlotte Airport Hotel in Charlotte, NC beginning Thursday, April 13 – Saturday, April 15, 2023.
The 2023 Spring conference will feature leading womanist voices who explore pressing questions, engage in rigorous inquiry, and energize open dialogue essential to the freedom and flourishing of Black womankind. Through panels, presentations, interviews, lectures, and multifaceted, transgenerational, innovative conversations across disciplines, this conference culminates the work of KGCCWL integrating its six-core tenets – womanist wellness, witness, wisdom, worship, wares, and works – which represent the holistic interconnections that nurture the flourishing of womanist leadership.
Dr. Dent will lead “The Urgency of Reimagining Religious Freedom” exploring how and in what ways we can use our agency to reimagine new narratives and take action to protect religious freedom for all.
