2014 was another successful year for the Baptist Joint Committee. We visited dozens of churches, colleges, seminaries and faith-based meetings across the country. Here’s a look at our work defending and extending religious liberty by the numbers:
- 46,723.8 miles traveled
We visited:
- 14 states
- 10 colleges, universities and seminaries
- 18 churches
- 10 denominational meetings
- 2 retirement facilities
16 groups visited our Center for Religious Liberty on Capitol Hill, including:
- 12 colleges, universities and seminaries
- 4 church groups and affiliated associations
- 213 total individuals
We also expanded our presence on the Web and in print with:
- 155,150 copies of Report from the Capital
- 6 new videos
- 5 audio stories of personal connections to religious liberty, available at BJConline.org/Faces
- 250+ blog posts on Blog from the Capital, written by Don Byrd
- 5 op-eds authored by BJC staff
