Amanda Tyler will speak on the panel “How Christians Are Opposing Christian Nationalism” during the 2023 Wild Goose Festival hosted in Harmony, North Carolina.
Come learn from Faithful America, Christians Against Christian Nationalism (a project of BJC – Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty), and Religions for Peace USA — along with local pastors from the frontlines of the fight against Christian nationalism — to learn what actions Christians across the country are taking to reclaim their faith from the theocratic, authoritarian quest for power. We’ll hear about sermon drives, media accountability campaigns, lessons from denominational leaders, prayer vigils, local clergy speaking out, documenting the Christian nationalism surrounding the January 6 insurrection, and more. Most of our speakers are Christian, but we will also hear from friends about the importance of Christian allyship. It is our hope that hearing about these successful Christian efforts can inspire you to ignite a movement against Christian nationalism in your own church community.
