Lisa Jacob, north Texas field organizer for Christians Against Christian Nationalism, is leading a coalition-wide gathering at Broadway Baptist Church in Ft. Worth, Texas. The gathering is free and open to all and registration is required. Click here to register.
If you’re available, we’d love to have you join for a beautiful experience before the coalition-wide gathering. Every Thursday evening, Broadway Baptist Church hosts the Agape Meal. Please see the description below as we’d love to have you serve with us. If you’re unable to serve, you are welcome to participate at 6 p.m. as well or simply join us at 7 p.m. for the coalition gathering. Please note your preference on the RSVP link as provided above.
The Agape meal is a wonderful experience! Broadway has been serving this meal since 1995, nearly 30 years. Every Thursday, we serve a sit-down meal and offer a worship service after the meal for all our neighbors. We usually have about 90-100 attendees. Most are unsheltered or food insecure. It is completely run by volunteers, and we always need volunteers to help serve food, set up/clean up, and be table hosts. Our goal is to build community and offer a family-style meal with dignity and care. We have volunteer training and set up at 5:30 p.m. The meal is served from 6-7 p.m. every Thursday evening.
