The Supreme Court has finally ended the suit brought by Brittany McComb, who has been challenging Clark County, NV officials for turning off the microphone during her valedictorian speech at commencement ceremonies. Appeals courts had denied her claim that her First Amendment rights were violated when she was stopped from varying her approved remarks to including statements encouraging her Christian faith.
The Supreme Court today denied her request for a hearing.
