By a 6-1 vote last night, Forsyth County Commissioners decided to continue their quest for sectarian prayer to open meetings. There are some conditions. The Winston-Salem Journal reports:

Under the resolution the commissioners approved, the county must reach an agreement with the Alliance Defense Fund Inc. Under the agreement, the fund, a conservative Christian organization, would continue to pay the county's legal costs in the case.

The county also must reach an agreement with a local group, the N.C. Partnership for Religious Liberty. The partnership would pay the attorney fees, costs and damages of the plaintiffs if the county ultimately loses the lawsuit. The ADF has said it will not pay those costs.
