The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that judges in Georgia have voted to allow religious headscarves to be worn in court.

At a meeting this week of the Judicial Council of Georgia — the policy-making body of Georgia courts — judges from around the state unanimously voted for measure to permit headgear in court if worn for religious or medical reasons.

Earlier, the justices of the Michigan Supreme Court voted to allow judges discretion in allowing or disallowing head coverings.
