Last night began the Jewish Festival of Lights, an 8-day celebration of faith, hope and perseverance. A hearty Happy Hanukkah to all of my readers who will be lighting a Menorah tonight.
I see that The White House will hold an event commemorating the holiday this evening.
And it's as good an occasion as any to be remembering the faithful all around the world who are persecuted and oppressed for their religious beliefs and practices.
