Israel Igualate is the communications director at BJC, working with the BJC team to tell stories, shape messages, and make religious liberty matter to more people.

Before coming to BJC,  Igualate was a speechwriter in the Biden administration, serving as Deputy Director of Speechwriting at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and later as Director of Speechwriting at the U.S. Department of Labor. Previously, he worked as a journalist for NHK, writing and producing stories from across North America.

Igualate holds a master’s degree in national security studies and a bachelor’s degree in communications and political science from California State University, San Bernardino.

He lives in Washington, D.C., but California will always be home.
