In an address to the Women of Joy conference in Louisville, KY Friday, former VP candidate Sarah Palin said:
Lest anyone try to convince you that God should be separated from the state, our Founding Fathers, they were believers. And George Washington, he saw faith in God as basic to life.
What can you say about something like this? What does her argument – that founding Americans had religious beliefs – have to do with the conclusion she draws from it, that God should not be separated from the state?
