Former Navy Chaplain Gordon Klingenschmitt has made a name for himself arguing that military chaplains should be able to offer denominational invocations when praying in their official capacity at mandatory event. In fact, his refusal to concede this point is a primary reason why he is a "former" chaplain against his wishes.
Now out of the service, he continues to fight for what he believes are a chaplain's First Amendment rights at a website called prayinjesusname.org. But when Americans United and the Military Religious Freedom Foundation called him out referring to himself as a chaplain and featuring pictures of himself in uniform on the site, Klingenschmitt called in the big guns. A recent prayer of his, captured here (#7 in the list), asks God for the deaths of Barry Lynn and Mikey Weinstein. Rob Boston has more here on the former chaplain's descent into Wiley Drake territory.
