Come to think of it, when was the last time the Texas Education Board did something *not* controversial?
This time, it's a resolution asserting that recent textbooks in social studies and history have been biased toward the Muslim faith, at the expense of Christianity, and calling on corrective measures going forward.
The resolution, which passed on a 7 to 6 vote, calls for a “balanced treatment of religious groups in textbooks and cites examples of perceived bias in textbooks used prior to 2003.
The practical effect of the resolution is unclear.
